About Trifecta

My name is Kennedy and I bought my first Great Dane in December 2006. I had been researching the breed and knew all the important things to know - longevity, temperament, health considerations. But I simply could not find a breeder within 1,000 miles with available puppies. My mistake was setting a timeline. Low and behold, those were the Craigslist days, I found a litter at the other end of the town. And the rest, as they say, is history. Vegas changed my life, immeasurably for the better, and brought me to where I am today. She was not my foundation, but she was the beginning of a love affair with this regal, gentle breed.

The Trifecta, my reason for breeding, is to focus on the following:

  • Beauty: The Great Dane is regal, beautiful, and structurally sound. She must exude the characteristics of the breed without question. She must move with power and grace.

  • Brilliance: The Dane must be of sound mind and working temperament. They must represent their inclusion in the Working Group.

  • Athleticism (Braun): The Dane should be powerful and strong. She should be able to fulfill the historical purpose of hunting down boar. Fitness, strength, and the ability to perform in whatever area they are asked should be natural.

I am a proud member of the Great Dane Club of America and the Great Dane Club of Middle Tennessee. I am currently located in Middle Tennessee, approximately halfway between Nashville and Chattanooga. When not showing or competing, we spend our time hiking and exploring the many outdoor spaces in the great state of Tennessee.
